ANS was founded 14 years ago as an advanced surface finishing and coating technology provider for friction and wear reduction of mechanical parts, allowing cost efficient solutions with high performance. The flag ship technology Triboconditioning®, a patented mechano-chemical surface treatment, has been successfully applied to various components used within powertrain, hydraulics and industrial equipment.
The need for our technologies is ever evolving and demanding, and market shifts towards electromobility has also made its impact on ANS. To meet these new demands for tougher wear resistance and improved efficiency, we have developed a proprietary solution, referred to as Triboconditioning® CG. This is a novel mechano-chemical surface treatment, building on the principles of Triboconditioning®, applicable on components with complex geometries such as gears within EV and hybrid transmissions, differentials as well as industrial applications such as hydraulics and compressors.
Standing in front of a full market launch of the Triboconditioning® CG technology, First Venture Sweden AB, a technology fund listed on the Nasdaq Nordic stock exchange, has stepped in as a new owner, to support the future development and expansion. The new strategic focus and ownership is highlighted through a name change for the new company formed, where Tribonex is taking over the operations from ANS.
“The investment in Tribonex fits perfectly within our investment strategy, focused on companies with strong entrepreneurial teams within technology, health and sustainability” explains David Wendel, CEO of First Venture. “Our focus is on companies with strong solutions and high growth potential that can make a real impact within their specific market. Tribonex has already built up an impressive customer base and proven demand for its cutting-edge surface treatments. We are very happy to be part of Tribonex’s journey!”
“We are excited about the support from First Venture, backing our ambitious plan of expanding within key industrial, transmission and electromobility markets as well as developing our supply network”, said Christian Kolar, CEO of Tribonex. “We are already forming partnerships with American and German companies to expand our global capability of supplying the Triboconditioning® surface treatments for improved efficiency and life, supporting our customers’ quest for developing sustainable products.”
